Booking a lesson on Tutorverse is straightforward and secure. Your payment is held safely by the platform and only released to the tutor after the lesson is successfully completed.
1. Search for a Tutor
Use the search bar on the homepage to find tutors by subject, location, or keyword. You can filter results by delivery method, price range, and availability to match your specific needs.
2. Check the Tutor's Profile
Click on a tutor to view their full profile page. Here you can review:
- Bio and Expertise: Learn about their teaching style, qualifications, and experience.
- Credentials: Look for verified badges, which indicate the tutor has been vetted by our team.
- Reviews: See feedback and ratings from other students.
- Availability: View their open schedule slots in real time.
3. Select a Time Slot
Choose an available time slot from the tutor's calendar that suits your schedule. Slots are shown in your local timezone.
4. Provide Lesson Details
Tell your tutor a bit about your goals for the session — the topics you'd like to cover, your current level, and anything specific you need help with. This helps them prepare an effective lesson.
5. Finalise Payment
Complete the booking by providing your payment details via our secure payment gateway (powered by Paystack). You can pay using:
- Credit or Debit Card (Visa, Mastercard).
- A Saved Card for faster checkout on future bookings.
Your funds are held securely by Tutorverse and only released to the tutor after the lesson concludes.
What Happens Next?
Once booked:
- You'll receive a confirmation email with all the lesson details.
- Your tutor will be notified immediately.
- You can communicate with your tutor through the Messages system to finalise any details before the lesson starts.
- You'll receive a reminder email one hour before the lesson begins.
