The Messages System

How to communicate with your tutor or student on Tutorverse.

Tutorverse includes a built-in Messages system designed to keep all communication between students and tutors organised and in one place. You never need to share personal contact details to coordinate your lessons.

Sending a Message

  1. Log in to your Tutorverse account.
  2. Navigate to Messages from the main menu.
  3. Select an existing conversation or start a new one with a tutor or student.
  4. Type your message and click Send.

When to Use Messages

The Messages system is ideal for:

  • Pre-lesson coordination: Share specific topics you'd like to cover, send study materials, or confirm logistics.
  • Post-lesson follow-up: Ask follow-up questions, request additional resources, or discuss future sessions.
  • General enquiries: Ask a tutor about their teaching approach before booking.

Notifications

You'll receive a notification whenever you have a new unread message. You can manage your notification preferences under Account → Settings → Notifications.

Tips for Effective Communication

  • Be clear and concise in your messages.
  • Be respectful and professional in all interactions.
  • Provide any necessary context to help the other party respond effectively.
  • Respond promptly to messages to keep the conversation moving.

  • All messages are stored securely on the platform.
  • Tutorverse monitors message activity to maintain community safety standards.
  • If you encounter inappropriate behaviour, please report it through the Help section or contact support directly.
